I. Announcement Content

After deeply considering recent admission trends and future academic directions based on the overall development plan of Yuan Ze University (YZU) and the allocation of teaching/research resources within our college and department, we plan to apply for suspension of admissions for the Graduate Program in Biomedical Informatics (GPBI) in accordance with the internal procedures of YZU and the regulations of the Ministry of Education.

To protect the educational rights and interests of current GPBI students and to help them understand the background, subsequent procedures, and supporting measures of this matter, the department will hold the “Student Information Session on the Suspension of Admissions for the Graduate Program in Biomedical Informatics” at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. All students are requested to attend.

III. Session Agenda

The information session will cover the following items :

1.  The background, reasons, and overall considerations for the suspension application.

2.  Supporting measures to protect the rights and interests of current students after the suspension of admissions, including study status, course enrollment, thesis advising, research resources, and administrative support.

3.  Course exemption and credit transfer between GPBI and the Master’s Program of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

4.  Counselling and administrative assistance for students who would like to transfer to another graduate program.

5.  Questions and discussions.
